Programmable Self-Supporting Structures
Prototypes that hold their own shape without a frame.

A series of large-scale prototypes testing adhesion, material behaviour and print geometry across scales — from small material studies to demonstrators that stand unsupported.
Each prototype isolates a variable: substrate stretch ratio, print pattern, layer height, or cooling. The catalogue that results maps pattern input to spatial output, making the behaviour predictable enough to design with.
The work was presented at SIGraDi 2024 in Barcelona.
